Silhouette Shooting

Enjoying the golden-hour sunrays

Last weekend we benefitted from the great weather we recently had in Luxembourg to do some outdoor shootings. I love Autumn, especially on days like these. The sky was so beautifully blue, the sun was shining and it was so comfortably cozy that we had to go outside to shoot some photos. At the beginning we only wanted to take some shots of my new 'Les (Art)istes' bag I got at the Smets Underground Luxury Party, but as the sun was getting lower we suddenly had a great idea: Why don't we profit from the 'golden-hour' to shoot some silhouettes. Yes I have to admit that I was inspired by Dana Linn Bailey's silhouette pictures she took some weeks ago on the beach. But hey, why can't I try the same in Luxembourg hihi.

I hope you like the pictures, if you want to see further pictures you just have to visit my Facebook Fanpage here
Enjoy your week and always keep in mind: You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try. xX

Les (Art)istes Bag

Long time no talk, but I have a good explanation... I finally had my exam this thursday so I was kind of busy studying and training the days before. But here I am again.
Right after my exam I was on the way straight home, grabbed my fitness bag and hit a great pump-session in the gym. This really felt so good after writing the exam. I was feeling finally free again and able to concentrate on nothing but my preparation, posing and training.

And as this wasn't enough already, my lovely sister asked me to accompany her to the Smets Underground Luxury Party.
The party was great, but it was an absolute torture for me as they offered so much heavenly foods like Dunkin' Donuts, Popcorn, Chips, Ice-cream and so on. And I was just over there trying to get shredded. Thus, all I had was a small bottle of water , but that's alright only a few weeks to go and I can finally enjoy such things again (in moderation well understood).

Before leaving, the lovely Fallon H. gave us a small goody-bag and told me that it could be of use for me. And indeed, it is very useful for me... It was a bag by ''Les (Art)istes'' , which I can surely use as a small fitness-bag for my morning cardio sessions. So again, thanks a lot for this bag, I love it! Normally when you have such a bag you only have one big pocket, meaning the whole bag. But this bag has two other pockets, whereby one with a zipper. This makes this bag even more functional as you don't have to rifle through your whole bag to finally find your member-card for the gym haha.

If you want to see further pictures of my sporty fall-shooting, you are welcome to have a look at the album on my Facebook Fanpage here. (And while you are already on my page, why don't you hit the like-button? hihi)

I wish you all a great weekend and stay tuned, I had another shooting as well. xX

Guest-post on the PumpUp Blog

Hey sweetheart

Here are the great news I told you about in my previous post.
I had the opportunity to create a guest-post for PumpUp's blog.
Maybe you remember the review I wrote a couple of weeks ago about the 'PumpUp App' ? Well, they also have a blog where they publish articles about fitness and health, recipes, spotlight stories and inspirational posts.

I also have a collaboration now with the PumpUp team, meaning that we planned that I create and write a guest-post, of course health and fitness related, for them once a week or once every two weeks, we will see...

I would be pleased if you would take the time to read my article on their blog (here). And of course to scroll through their blog as well, because they offer a great number of inspirational posts, stories and delicious recipes.

I wish you all a nice week and stay focused.

Healthy Rainbow Cake

Hi guys.

I'm confident that everyone of you is going to love this post. Last year, my mum baked me a super delicious rainbow-cake for my birthday, but ''unfortunately'' it was the biggest calorie-bomb I have ever eaten. But still, it tasted great.
I guess most of you like the idea of having a fancy rainbow cake which doesn't come with thousands and thousands of calories and tons of sugar and other fattening ingedrients.
I came up with this recipe idea after browsing Instagram and it's basically a healthified version of the famous rainbow cake.

What you need:

-For the cake layers:
  • 750 gr. whole grain flour
  • 8 beaten egg whites
  • 8 egg yolks
  • 300 ml olive oil
  • 500 ml sprite zero
  • sweetener, to taste
  • 6 rainbow food colorings
-For the frosting:
  • 1.500 gr light curd or greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 packages of gelatin fix
  • Sweetener, to taste
  • vanilla essence
Directions:
  1. Mix all the cake ingredients until smooth.
  2. Split the dough into 6 equal parts.
  3. Add to each as much food coloring as you want. The more, the better.
  4. Pour the first colored dough in a cake form & bake at 180°c for 8 minutes.
  5. Repeat this for the other colors too.
  6. After baking all the rainbow-colors, let them cool down.
  7. Then, add all the frosting-ingredients and stir to combine.
  8. Alternately put a layer of colored cake and one layer of frosting on a cake plate and repeat until the last layer of cake.
  9. To finish, cover your whole heavenly cake with frosting.
  10. Put in the fridge for at least 5 hours.
  11. Garnish with whatever you want, et voilà.
I hope you like it and enjoy your weekend.
Make sure to have 6 equal bowl for the doughs
Sprite Zero
let it snow , let it snow with egg whites hehe
The more color you add, the brighter they will get
Make sure that the baking form isn't too tall!
smurf poop anyone? haha

Throwback Tuesday

Hey people!

Here are some throwbacks from my last Instagram-week. I am so happy actually that I fell over this app almost 1 and 1/2 year ago.

At the beginning I wasn't sure what it was all about, but guess what... I became addicted so damn fast , it's unbelievable. Actually Instagram was the reason why I started the clean-eating thing, as there were so many healthy-food profiles with so many different and heavenly recipes that I couldn't resist to try them out. But then, it happened!

I discovered the profiles of bikini athletes...thus it happened that I got interested more and more in competitions. And finally I decided that I want to do the same! I wanted another challenge, another goal, something different... And here we are, I am on my way to my first bikini competition and I am so happy that I have so many followers who motivate me every single day! And it makes me so happy, when I hear that someone started hitting the gym or changing his or her lifestyle because of me! That's the biggest present I could ever be given!

Thank you all so much!

btw, that's my best fluffy buddy Mumble, a Bernese Mountain Dog

Avocado Cookies

Hello people!

How are you? How has your weekend been?
I was just sitting at home, recovering from my first preparation week haha, and suddenly came up with the idea of baking something healthy but delicious again. But as it was already sunday afternoon, and while on sunday everything is closed, (grrr) , I had to wait until yesterday to get the things I need.
But still, I had no idea what I should create for you. So during my grocery shopping, I was going through the fruit and veggie department and then I had a brainwave! I want to bake avocado cookies!
So I picked an avocado, thought about what I could add to get healthy cookies and went straight home to get started. Of course I paid my food haha. So here is the recipe:

What you need:
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 egg
  • 1tbsp rapeseed-oil (coconut oil goes as well as it's very neutral in its taste)
  • 1/4 cup stevia, or only some drops if you have liquid stevia
  • 2tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1tbsp vanilla powder
  • 1tbsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • dark chocolate chips
Directions:
  1. Cut open your avocado and take out the pip
  2. Spoon out the avocado stuff and put it in bowl
  3. Mash your avocado until slightly smooth with a fork
  4. Add your oil, egg, brown sugar, stevia & vanilla powder and mix it up
  5. Combine flours, baking soda, baking powder & salt
  6. Next, mix dry & wet ingredients
  7. Stir in some of the chocolate chips ( as many as you want )
  8. Put the dough in the fridge for about 1 hour
  9. After 45 min, preheat oven already to 180°c.
  10. After that, take out your dough & form your cookies. I spooned it out with a normal soup-spoon and shape little dough balls.
  11. Place on non-sticking baking paper and press slightly until they get a cookie shape.
  12. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until they get a light-brown color.
  13. Et voilà!

Form little dough-balls
Press slightly to get the cookie-shape
don't mind the color, they are a bit green-ish because of the avocado

1st week of preparation

Hello!
Finally my first workout-week of my preparation is over.

As I already told you in my previous post, I was given other workout-routines. I didn't expect them do be so heavy , to be honest. When Ken and I started hitting the gym two years ago, we also went to the gym 5 times a week and we also trained in supersets. But when you stop working out in supersets , it gets really hard once you have to do them again.

My first training-day was leg-day. And as if this leg-session wasn't heavy enough already, I still had to do a 40-minutes-HIIT afterwards. So just imagine me trying to go downstairs...haha Plus, I went pole dancing again the same day. I try to combine fitness and pole-dancing, I really need that kind of distraction once a week.
Then the second day was back-shoulders with back in supersets. The workout-session was okay... But the day after, I was so damn sore from pole-dance classes and my previous workouts that I could hardly move!
Third workout-day was biceps, triceps and again shoulders. This was the first time that I discovered a little pumped-up vein in my left arm, which made me so happy hehe.
The day after actually killed my legs! Not only was it leg-day, but I had to train my legs in TRISET!!! And not to forget, 40 minutes of HIIT after that! Even worse than the first day! I think I will just stay in bed forever!
Last day finally, back-shoulders , again in TRISET, with biceps and triceps. And HIIT of course!

This first week was honestly the heaviest workout-week I have ever experienced in my life! But without effort, no results! I hope my body gets used to it very soon, I don't want to die every day haha.

That's it already. Now I am off again, I need some rest to recover from this madness!
Talk to you soon.

Lazy Sunday

So, today is Sunday...
I actually hate sundays. Not because it is the day before Monday but because almost everything is closed and usually I have no idea what to do. That's why I normally clean my room, go on long walks with my fluffy buddy Mumble or just stay at home and watch TV the whole day.
What are your plans for today? Or how does your typical sunday look like?

Like I said, it is the day before Monday. So tomorrow my boyfriend and I are having another check-up again. This will be the last check-up before we start our real preparation for our competition in November. I will get a different workout-plan, meaning I will have to workout 5 times per week instead of 4 times, which I think won't be a problem for us since Ken and I used to train 5 times a week, initially. I don't know if my coach will change something on my eating-plan as it actually works quite well at the moment. Well, let's see what he tells us tomorrow.

Here a picture of my baby-ceps hehe . (baby-ceps is a little biceps)
Enjoy your lazy sunday!

Dirty Nike Flyknit

Hey my dear!
As some of you already know I am a little +Nike addict! I love their sportswear and especially the shoes! I got 2 pairs of nike shoes, the normal Nike Freerun 5.0 and Nike Freerun Flyknit... But the problem is, they get dirty so fast! It's normal for the Freeruns because I also wear them when I take a walk with my dog, but my Flyknits already lost their bright colors and I only have them for about 6 months now. And, another big problem, which is also my own fault, the sole has become so damn dirty... Because I never wore socks in them, whoops!
So not only are they dirty, but they don't smell that good anymore... shame on me!

That's why I decided to clean them. Initially I wanted to put them in a wash-back, but then I wasn't sure if I could really do this and since I haven't found any review on washing Flyknits in a washing-machine, thus I decided to wash them by hand.
First of all I took out the sole and laid them in hot water in the sink along with some normal dish soap. Then,to get the dirt from the sole I used a normal sponge and rubbed the dirt off with the rougher side of it. And what a surprise, it worked!

If you have dirt or blemishes on the shoes themselves you can do the same thing as with the soles. The same goes with the laces, just take them off and wash them in the water along with the soap. But make sure that you don't pull strings, otherwise you will ruin your whole shoe!!! VERY IMPORTANT!

After cleaning the dirt and the spots from your shoes, you can lay them in water again together with good smelling soap if your shoes still stink a little bit. I used my normal shower gel, because I love that smell!
After that you can either suspend the soles, shoes and laces on a clothesline or you just lay them on a towel and you let them air-dry.

Et voilà! That's it already... If you have a Nike Sensor, make sure to take it out as well before you start cleaning them as I have no idea whether it is waterproof or not.

I hope this helps some people out there who have the same 'problem' as I had. If you don't have Flyknits already, you can get similar ones HERE

Have a nice rest of your day!

Left: Not cleaned yet / Right: After rubbing with the sponge. I did my best...
